=== 1. Terrain ===
Terrain is very important when it comes to making your map feel unique. The terrain should not be flat, making it flat makes for a boring map that has little to no interesting terrain when it comes to building. Making the terrain too rough and it will be difficult to build and navigate. You should try to get a good balance where the terrain is distinct while giving some flat terrain for building bases. This helps making your map stand out.

If your map has tall hills, it's generally recommended that you have a few ways to get to the top of that hill. This makes it easier for Timebombs to navigate, and adds some strategy instead of having only one way up which can make the terrain feel linear and easily gives Survivors an advantage. You don't have to make the tall terrain accessible from all sides, but it is recommended that there's atleast more than 1 pathway. Timebombs have a larger head than Survivors, so they might struggle to walk on pathways towards a high point on a map which has terrain that has a 3 block difference in height, so it's best to make those pathways 2 blocks instead.

Overview

The TM Mapmaking Kit is a copyable template for making maps for the main game. It can be edited in Roblox Studio. The template features rules what should and shouldn't be done when making a map for the game. When you're done making a map, you submit a game link to your map in the community server on Discord.
