Overview

This is the changelog for Timebomb Madness, coming from the Timebomb Madness Discord. Parts of the changelogs are modified to help readability.


Version 1.0 (Release):

Game releases to the public.

Version 1.0-A (Patch):

Changes:
- Nerfed timebomb range: 18 -> 16
Bugs:
- Round system failing fixed (AKA Black screen issue + other)
- Timebomb & survivor icons are now visible
- Fixed & improved fall damage
- Fixed various bugs that are related to timebombs
- Fixed broken achievement UI
- Fixed Timebombs not ticking sometimes
- Fixed inability to explode as a timebomb on mobile
- Fixed other miscellaneous bugs

Version 1.0-AB (Patch):

Changes:
New UI for mobile shop & settings buttons
Bugs:
- Fixed timebomb staying mid-air after exploding
- Fixed the shop inventory bug (which means data saves)
- Fixed other various bugs
- Fixed build boundaries showing up on build boundaries

Version 1.0-B (Patch):

Changes:
- Decreased max Door block amount: 50 -> 10
- New sword animations (sword range is larger)
- During round: highlighted players are no longer highlighted when they die
- Improved mobile bow UI
- Removed ignited timebombs until they're finished

Version 1.0-BC (Patch):

Changes:
- New George animations
- Dynamite animations reworked by Clover
- Improved shop lighting
- Walk sounds are quieter
- Player data fully fixed. If any data losses occur, contact us. Everything is supposed to save (except that you lose items and weapons when you die)
- Timebombs can no longer open doors
- Removed Boss Baby
- Weapons during roundtime will always be initiated as the first slot
- Outlines dissapear on broken blocks during round time
- Gamepass timebomb colors are now free. As per request. There will be more perks with the gamepass!
Bugs:
- Points gamepasses actually work now. For real this time.
- Lunging has been fixed
- Antistuck fixed
- Not obtaining points when killing an enemy has been fixed (FOR REAL. T HIS. TIME)

Version 1.0-C (Minor Patch):

Minor necessary fixes.

Some small fixes again including antistuck not working.

Version 1.0-D (Patch):

Changes:
- Attempt to combat spawn traps by removing their respective abusable spawns
- Glowstone max count changed: 100 - 8
- Glowstone pricing changed: 50P per 4 blocks - 100P per 2 blocks
- Obsidian max count changed: 40 - 24
- Obsidian pricing changed: 300P per 4 blocks - 300P per 3 blocks
- Changes to song pool for each map
- Improved shop ui for the makeup gamepass

Changes:
- Added spawns back to continents but made build boundaries way stricter to combat spawncamp structures
- Attempt to fix shutdown (may not work for THIS shutdown but for future ones)

Version 1.1 (Update):

Version 1.1-AB (Patch):

Changes:
- Patched all currently known flying machines
- People who abused VIP servers to attain points will now be in crippling debt
- Timebombs now have a short forcefield upon spawning to combat spawncamping
- Timebomb fuse particles remade by equinox
- Items now disappear from your purchased items when used up (as it should be wtf)
- Removed Sefuli
Fixes:
- Fixed arrows floating in the air when hitting a timebomb by just deleting the arrows on timebomb hit for now
- Fixed weapon being in the second slot for real this time (0.00000001% chance it could be in the second slot again until we find a BETTER fix)

Version 1.2 (Update):

Additions:
- Huge improvements to the anticheat & moderation system
- Overall performance improved (Includes explosions, blocks etc.)
 - Multithreaded scripts, and many more amazing things

Changes:
PLAYER DATA:
- Permanent block data saving
- Using an item now removes it from your inventory
- You will be notified whenever you lose an item or a block

- You will no longer die if you stay on the shop's platform while the round starts

 - It was actually a problem with the explosion system itself. The distance alpha would evaluate a negative value, which heals the block. Happened to players as well.
- Bow prices have been nerfed
- Leaving during a round removes everything you had equipped
- All the other fixes before this patch

Version 1.2-AB (Minor Patch):

Additions:
- Survivors get highlighted during the timebomb spawncam. I hate campers.
- Reduced axe price: 1000p -> 800p

- Made anticheat tp detection less strict

Version 1.4 (Fight or Flight Update)

The game is fun, timebomb types, new weapons & maps!

New stuff:
- New timebomb types that are random for now:
 - Chilled: A weak blow that freezes blocks and slows people.
 - Burning: Big range, and starts forest fires.
 - Firework: Launches upwards swiftly to explode on impact.
 - Overseer: They say no block can stand it's explosion... Very rare!
- New maps: 
 - Blackstone Castle
 - Flooded Cave
 - VIP server only (command .mapsUI):
  - SFOTH, arizona (Hell), and many other mixed stuff.
- New weapons:
 - Spear

New Stuff:
- Banner data serialization; reduces save data size by up to 50%. (Old save format (JSON) still compatible with loading)
Changes:
- You will no longer take fall damage for at least 5 seconds when the round has started.
Fixes:
- Actually fixed spears and dual saws removing your highlight
- Fixed force-cancelling, including the camera getting stuck on late force-cancelling
- Fixed mobile shiftlock and made it temporarily disable if there is something else influencing the orientation (i.e block placing, aiming with spear or bow, etc)
- Fixed console players not being able to close the badge screen (ButtonB)

- Fixed votekicking Y:N ratio always evaluating to yes.

Small fixes Afterword -

- Server size changed to 30 players max - Removed the skybox border due to the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile perk, active in new servers - Changed artifact spawn chances:

 - rng calculated every 20 seconds (15->20)
 - chance to spawn 1/15 (20->15)

active in new servers - Increased the cost of hallows-wrath to 20k candy. (10k->20k) - Decreased the swing cooldown of the hallows-wrath by a little bit and greatly improved the hitbox


Version 1.5-A (Patch)

New Stuff:
- Jack O' Lantern block, found in the shop, *permanent*

- Fixed a melee bug.
- Fixed a deaf assist error.
- Fixed necromancer during buildtime
- Finally fixed votekicking
- Fixed a timebell bug.
- Fixed desaturation bug when skeletonifying?
- Fixed a few other backend bugs.
Changes:
- Buffed Hallows-wrath (hitbox more forgiving, slightly reduced swing cooldown)
- Nerfed regeneration perk
- Made Infected AI way smarter and less heavy on the server
- Made glass inflammable

Version 1.5-B

New Stuff:
- Maps overhaul: GrassScape, Continents and Castle all have background features.
- Map Flooded Caves is back! This time less tedious to play on.
- Full weapon rework
 - Sword: Lunge animation changed
 - Axe: Darkheart on obsidian axe hits (You self-inflict damage)
 - Spear: Throw durability. 4% durability lost on miss, 8% durability regained on hitting a timebomb.
 - Bow: Headshot damage actually implemented this time + TRIPLESHOT IS BACK!
- Added "Dot-crosshair" setting, removes crosshair lines
- Timebombs now light up before exploding
- Charged and Overseer pumpkinbomb types, bombyard exclusive
- Natural regeneration without the regen perk (the perk makes it a little more effective)
 - most effective when standing still, double the time to regen when moving
- Hitmarkers for timebombs (decimator included)
- A bunch of new speaker songs
- Reinforced light retextured and sounds for toggling added
- Tutorial
Balancing Changes:
- !! Block count **significantly** reduced. This is a sacrifice we had to make to allow for higher framerate.
 - You are refunded in points for all bought blocks that are above the new decreased block limit.
- Fear me perk now includes ranged weapons
- Axe knockback significantly nerfed
- Regeneration perk significantly nerfed
- Fall damage made more reasonable
- Nerfed blast pressure from timebombs (a little less explosion knockback)
Fixes:
- Bat wings now goldify too when being killed by a golden bow
- (most likely) fixed decimator breaking until you leave the server
- Fixed crates floating on top of nothing/broken bases
- (most likely) fixed melee initiating prior to the hitboxes having fully loaded in
- Fixed a glitched spot in sunshine isle
- Fixed hallows-wrath kill effect staying forever (?)
- Fixed last trick perk still working after dying to a weapon with a kill effect (i.e Hallows-wrath)
- Fixed spear loyalty sometimes taking MINUTES to return and being dependant on FPS. It is now guaranteed to have a return travel-time of 1 second and moves in a beziér curve because why not.
Misc:
- Dual-saws removed until further notice.
- Removed better spear throw from settings
- Kevlar vest now automatically equips on round start
- Bow headshots (and spear headshots) deal extra damage
- Blocks of a votekicked player will be deleted
- No position latency on timebomb explosions (i.e bat explosion no longer explodes behind you)
- Intercontinental Ballistic Missile perk now gives you a significantly higher chance of becoming a firework timebomb. Irrelevant change in bombyard.
- Hurt me plenty perk now gives you extra walkspeed the less health you have. Very useful in combat.
- Ban time now rounds down instead of up, minimizing confusion.

Changes:
- Kevlar vest unnerfed (0.2def -> 0.35def)
- Obsidian and iron block limit increased
 - Obsidian (12->18)
 - Iron (24-35)
- Hurt me plenty perk nerfed (max. 10 walkspeed -> max. 6 walkspeed)
- Regeneration perk heal interval slightly decreased (20sec. -> 15sec.)
- Natural regeneration heal interval slightly decreased (30sec. -> 25sec.)
- (Experimental) blocks completely destroyed (0HP) during nighttime get deleted after 30 seconds

- New item: Warp Orb
Teleports you to where it lands when thrown. Do not, under any circumstance, throw into water.
- Variant RNG rework: The more you contribute to the round as a timebomb the higher the chance of getting a variant.
- New badge: Divine Intellect
Play the game on God's resolution. (PC only)
Ignore this badge for 100%ing all badges.
- Changeable first-person arm opacity slider in settings
Changes:
- Hotsauce removed from shop
- Block resounds
- Equipping delay removed
- Readded overdue (oops)
- Removed witches brew
- Timebomb forcefields removed when exceeding a 12 stud distance threshold from the spawn.
Balancing Changes:
- Intercontinental Ballistic Missile perk slightly nerfed

Version 1.6 (XMAS Part 1)
